FISH CROPPING
As part o long term management of fish stocks within Birmingham, Hill Hook Mill Pool will have approx 1/3 of the standing stock of fish will removed and used to restock Brookvale Park Pool and the River Tame.
The will be undertaken by the Environment Agency. at no cost to us.
In order for the work to proceed, sampling of the fish to conduct health checks has to be undertaken before the fish are removed. The propsoed date is Monday the 22nd of February 2010.
The sampling of the fish stocks at the Mill Pool has taken place on Monday the 22nd of February. The Environment Agency did not find many fish as last time. It was also noted some of the fish showed bird damage.
The Environment Agency will be netting the Mill Pool on Wednesday 24th of March. They are planning to reduce the fish stocks in the Mill Pool.
